Peaches on Plaid

My neighbour arrived at the door with a box of peaches. Here in the Okanagan it's a pretty regular event and always welcome because who doesn't love peaches? The perfume! Peaches and cream? Peaches with yogurt? Even better with ice cream. And for someone who loves to paint the myriad of fuzzy hues from maroon through to fuchsias to the palest peaches and yellows all in one fruit is dazzling. And then there's the contours, the planes of a peach. We wait all year to eat peaches and here I was in October painting the last of my peach photos. If only the fresh peaches could last so long . . . I tried to capture the fuzziness of a peach. Part of this year's peach series.

Acrylic on 8 X 10 X 1.5" deep wooden cradle board prepared to the highest standard. The sides are painted so there is no need to frame. Shipping will be extra.
