Carollyne Sinclaire Artist
Capturing the Beauty of Colour, Light and Shadow

Art Log

This is the busiest time of the year for artists across the continent as they prepare for summer markets, exhibits and sales, and Osoyoos has its own share of events, with the Summer Artisan Market at the Art Gallery Osoyoos being the biggest and longest market of all. Starting May 20th, 2017 the Art Gallery Osoyoos Summer Artisan Market displays the work of over 30 artists from painters to potters to textile artists, quilters and jewellery designers. As works are sold they will be replenished by artists so come often.

This photo shows some, but not all, of my works that will be on available for viewing and sales. Please visit and browse. But a cautionary note: leave yourself time as there's lots to see.

Starting May 20th, 2017 the Art Gallery Osoyoos is open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

The Art of Carollyne Sinclaire featured at Faustino's Cidery on Hwy 97, Osoyoos

You can't miss Faustino's Cidery, a darling yellow building on the left as you head north on Highway 97 from Osoyoos. And when you're there tasting the family produced ciders, take the time to see my paintings, some of which are shown below as I prepare for the summer show at Faustino's. Don't miss that pear cider, either!

I can't even say "fresh off the easel" because it's still wet and still perched on my easel but I admit publicly right here that I am a fool for a pretty dog's face. Acrylic on black gesso, 8 inches square. If you're interested in adding this cutie to your collection please contact me through pocketdesertpainter.com

It's a mixed catch of paintings influenced by a recent trip to Mexico and then returning to the cold with thoughts of summer ahead. Read the comments on each of these on my website and please leave a comment on my guestbook.

A couple of weeks ago I painted this desert scene in San Miguel de Allende, a colonial town located 3 hours drive from Mexico City where I took classes with Juan Zaragoza, whose work you will see in this entry. juanzaragoza.com

Currently showing at the Osoyoos Art Gallery from October 8th to November 5th, 2016 'Artists on Main Present . . . ' features the work of local painters. I am so very humbled that my painting entitled 'Irene's Sunflowers' made the poster (upper-left corner).

Please take the time to visit and see these new works:Tuesday to Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m.

This 20" X 16" acrylic on board painting was inspired by a visit to Ludwig and Irene's orchard in Osoyoos where they produce all organic fruit on espaliered trees. I have tried to capture the brilliance of the sky that day. Framed and ready to hang $350.00

Many thanks to the Relvas family at Faustino's Cidery for featuring my art this summer. Three paintings just sold: 'Picnic Apple', 'Spartans on Stripes', and 'Little Pink Door'. It is always a thrill to me that someone appreciates my work enough to buy it. I hope the pieces create an atmosphere of joy where they are placed.
