Plumcot Cluster

How distinctively Okanagan are the soft fruits. I was introduced to the plumcot this summer upon invitation by the owner of Sunset Orchards in Osoyoos to come visit and see her fruit. The plumcot is a heart-shaped hybrid composed of, as you might suspect, an apricot and a plum. All the beautiful bloom of a plum, all the succulence of an apricot, the bite of a plum, it sings with flavour.

Acrylic on cradle board prepared to the highest standard (8 sq." X 1.5", 20 sq. cm. X 4 cm.) As the painting is done on cradle board there is no need to frame it. Wired, ready to hang.
